How it works
Claim, configure, go live
Here is what happens from search to a resolving record.
- 01
Search a name
Type a label and see availability across every open root domain instantly.
- 02
Claim it
Sign up, verify your email, and the hostname is atomically reserved for your account.
- 03
Add records
Point it at your server, CDN or mail provider from the DNS editor or the API.
- 04
Go live
Changes are pushed to the authoritative DNS provider and tracked until confirmed.
Record lifecycle
Nothing is reported live until it is
Every DNS change is a tracked job. Temporary provider errors retry with exponential backoff; permanent errors are surfaced on the record so you can fix and retry.
- pending
- Saved and queued. The change has not reached DNS yet.
- active
- The DNS provider confirmed the change. Resolvers pick it up as caches expire.
- failed
- The provider rejected the change or stayed unreachable after retries. The error is shown on the record.
- deleting
- Removal is queued and will be confirmed by the provider.
