These terms govern your use of OrbiDNS (the “Service”). By creating an account you agree to them. The operator should have this text reviewed by counsel for its jurisdiction before launch.
1. The Service
OrbiDNS lets you claim hostnames under root domains operated by the Service and manage DNS records for them. A claimed hostname is a revocable licence to use that name; it is not a domain registration and confers no ownership.
2. Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and API keys.
- You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
3. Acceptable use
Your use must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend or release hostnames, revoke keys, or suspend accounts that violate it, with or without notice where harm is ongoing.
4. Plans, limits and fees
Plan limits are shown on the pricing page and in your dashboard and may change with notice. Paid plans renew each billing period until cancelled. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
5. Availability
We aim for high availability but the Service is provided “as is”. DNS changes depend on third-party providers and resolver caching, and may take time to be visible.
6. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting a subdomain removes its DNS records and makes the name available to others. We may terminate accounts for breach of these terms.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service’s aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in the dashboard before they take effect.
